The Sealegs 12m Cabin RIB (or 12RC) is the cumulation of over a decade of amphibious technology development and many months of detailed boat design, with input from amphibious engineers, naval architects, and Sealegs owners.

With a 12 metre overall length, up to twin 400hp outboards, massive 940mm diameter by 500mm wide tyres and a gross weight of 7500kg, the Sealegs 12RC is a monster craft with unequalled size, power and performance in the amphibious boat market.

With an extensive list of options, the Sealegs 12RC can be tailored to meet the needs of owners with up to 4 berths, fully enclosed and lockable cabin with panoramic windows, dual retractable electric sun roof, galley with stove, sink and fridge, dining table, toilet and a push button retractable boarding platform.  Featuring Sealegs large format System 100 amphibious technology, the craft has an incredible 9000 newton metres of torque delivered through all wheel drive on land via its hydraulic wheel motors.  Top speed on land is up to 8kph and top speed on water approaches 40 knots.

The first Sealegs 12RC craft has been sold to a European client and since the completion of the design stage the interest has been significant from both existing and new Sealegs owners around the globe. Sealegs expects the new craft to hold a key position in its extensive range of amphibious craft.

Sealegs CEO, David McKee Wright, said of the release “It’s pleasing to see strong and growing demand in the recreational markets around the world following the proven professional application for our large Sealegs System 100. Our owners and friends around the world recognize the quality and proven technology of Sealegs and want all their future boating to be amphibious, regardless of craft size”

The new 12RC model utilises Sealegs System 100, the Amphibious Enablement System (AES) that has proven itself in recreational and commercial applications around the world.  A number of Sealegs System 100 amphibious systems are in daily operation by Pennicott Wilderness Journeys for launch and retrieval three custom built eco-tourism craft which each carry up to 30 people for tours off the coast of Wilsons Promontory in Victoria, Australia
