Sealegs Amphibious Marine Craft
Sealegs Amphibious Rescue Craft
Sealegs rescue craft are purpose-built amphibious boats for flood rescue and civil defence-type applications. They are high performance waterborne vessels ('RIB' design), with a highly-valued limited degree of land capability. The aircraft-type wheel set allows the aluminum-hulled working craft to be launched at any access point where a 4X4 vehicle would have capability. This includes river banks, estuaries and lake fronts, as well as being lowered by deck hoist from larger waterborne vessels. This makes a Sealegs rescue boat fully independent of boat ramps and traditional launching facilities, equipment or personnel.
The Sealegs robust D-Tube and RIBs are designed to be uniquely operable with significant payloads and on-demand power in deep, shallow and variable-depth waters that range from the open ocean to riverine and estuary environments, for example the rescue craft can navigate between and over sandbanks to the next section of open water.
There is no faster way to deploy boats, equipment and rescue personnel than Sealegs unique amphibious craft. They provide greater capacity, faster response and greater flexibility. With ruggedized components and multiple options available, tailored rescue craft can be specified for your exact requirements.
Applications
A Sealegs-equipped rescue marine craft is especially functional in situations where regular water-borne vessels are impeded by debris fields, obstructions, shallow or variable water depth, and restricted access so therefore cannot operate effectively.
Sealegs-equipped craft provide ideal multi-role mission capability with deployment as:
- First response water-related rescue and civil emergencies
- Priority search, rescue, deployment and extraction role
- Re-locatable mission control platform
- Damage assessment and reconstruction team deployment
Existing Users Include:
