Sealegs Production Capacity Clears Order Backlog
Sealegs Corporation (NZX:SLG) today announced that efforts to overcome its production backlog have been successful and the company will shortly be in a position to build for stock. As a result of this achievement Sealegs is undertaking several initiatives to increase its international reseller base in an effort to achieve sales in line with its revenue guidance.
Sealegs CEO David McKee Wright said the reduction of the sales backlog comes as both a positive and a negative.
“This year the company has been working hard to reduce its delivery times and now must reapportion its resources to sales and marketing. In the past long lead times have hindered sales. It is now hoped the reduced lead times and approaching summer boating season will deliver the required sales result,” he said.
Mr McKee Wright went on to say that an extensive international road show was planned throughout North America and over time was confident the process would result in sales.
Last week Sealegs announced it had appointed Amphibious Boats Ontario Canada Ltd as its first North American reseller.
