Sealegs Posts Half Year Result

Sealegs Corporation Limited (NZX:SLG) today announced a consolidated operating revenue figure for the half year ending 30 September 2005.

The listed marine company reported trading revenue for the six month period of NZ$1,201,000, an increase of 70.6% on the same period last year of NZ$704,000.

Total operating deficit for the half year totalled NZ$723,000.

Chief Executive Officer, David McKee Wright says “the result was indicative of the growing demand and acceptance of amphibious boats. Sales into Australia & Europe have been encouraging and are continuing to grow.”

Sealegs International Limited moved into its new premises at 227 Bush Road in Albany yesterday, from which the company expects to achieve an improvement in production efficiency and capacity. Mr McKee Wright said “both staff and customers waiting for boats have been looking forward to the move and it will deliver an immediate improvement in lead times.”

Sealegs will be demonstrating its amphibious boats at the upcoming Big Boys Toys show in Auckland and the Wanganui A&P show on the 11th - 13th of November. Planning is also underway to attend the Paris and London International boat shows later in December 2005 and January 2006.
