Sealegs Granted US PATENT

Listed marine company, Sealegs Corporation Limited (NZX:SLG), today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Sealegs International Ltd has been granted a United States Patent for aspects of its amphibious boat technology by the United States Patent and Trademark office.
The Sealegs US Patent (Number 7,004,801) is valid for twenty years from the original filing date of December 17th 2002.
Sealegs Chief Executive David McKee Wright said "receiving the US Patent is part of our Intellectual Property program to protect the unique amphibious boat technology which Sealegs has invented as part of its research and development investment”.
Sealegs has already registered trademarks in most of its major markets and has further worldwide patents pending in the major international marine markets.
Mr McKee Wright went on to say “The US Patent and the other worldwide patents pending should assist Sealegs in maintaining its position as the worlds leading manufacturer of amphibious boats and to lead to future Sealegs technology licensing possibilities”.
