New Factory & New Staff
In March we moved to a new 3000sqm factory which combines our hull fabrication, assembly, service, development, sales and marketing into one building for the first time. This move will result in savings and productivity benefits.
As the company expands into the global markets, Sealegs has appointed key people in Europe, the USA and New Zealand to meet the growing demands. Here is a list of our new employees we would like to welcome to the company: Antony Wraight, Ashleigh Good, Cathy Turner, Cameron Upton, Charles Ledoux, David Redpath, Deane Kirkcaldy, Evan Francis, Hayden Redpath, Jarrod Dowling, Jon Hoflich, Jono Barry, Leon Bosman, Lee Glanfield, Levine Wilkinson, Matthew Burt, Marley Field, Maxime Watts, Nathan Mendoza, Nicholas Day, Peter Small, Ryan Green, Scott Dyer and William Crocker.
The All Blacks
In August, Sealegs signed a 6 year sponsorship agreement to become the Official Marine Partner to the All Blacks, aligning the Sealegs name to this global brand to reinforce the attributes common to both - strength, reliability, truly New Zealand made and a winning product to boot.
As part of this agreement, we have been able to entertain existing owners and potential clients at major All Black games, as well as use some of the key players for other events and video/film shoots.

Above Left: Richie McCaw, David McKee Wright - CEO, Jimmy Cowan, Eric Series - Chairman, Maurice Bryham - Founder and Joe Rokocoko. Above right: Jimmy, RIchie and Joe having fun!
Watch out for the limited release All Blacks crafts as well as the results of some of our filming!
Major Awards

Popular Science "Best of What’s New” Grand Award 2010
Sealegs Amphibious Marine Craft won the "Recreational Grand Award - Best of What’s New 2010" from the world’s largest science and technology magazine, POPULAR SCIENCE. As a Best of What’s New Winner, Sealegs joins companies such as NASA, Mercedes, 3M, Canon, and Sony.
Sealegs is featured on the front cover and within the much-anticipated December issue of Popular Science, the most widely read issue of the year with 7.2 million readers.
Best New Powerboat Under 30 foot’, Newport Boat Show, USA
The Sealegs 7.1m Amphibious RIB won the prestigious ‘Best New Powerboat Under 30 foot’ at the 40th Annual Newport Boat Show, Rhode Island, USA.
The award spotlighted Sealegs amphibious marine craft as products that make the most significant contributions to the experience of recreational boating. Judging was done by an independent panel of boating experts from Cruising World, Motor Boating and Sailing World magazines with the award given based on innovation, value to the consumer and aesthetics.
New for 2011
Power Steering
The Sealegs Power Steering option uses an electric hydraulic pump to provide extra pressure to the steering system. This provides the operator with fingertip control at the steering wheel for a more enjoyable experience, with far less effort. The power steering system makes three point turns and manoeuvring in tight areas a dream.
The Sealegs power steering option comes fitted with high pressure hydraulic hoses and fittings which results in an easier effort at the wheel – even when under heavy load.
In the unlikely event of a failure in the electric power steering pump, the system automatically reverts back to standard manual hydraulic steering. The power steering option is an especially good option to specify with new orders of AWD Sealegs models and makes that combination a pleasure to operate. The RRP is $ 4990 NZD, available now to specify on new builds only.
