Sealegs Appoints its First Asian Distributor

Sealegs International Ltd has today announced that it has appointed Kunjang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd as its distributor in South Korea.

An initial order of five Sealegs amphibious boats has been placed by Kunjang Shipbuilding representing over NZ$400,000 of revenue.

Kunjang Shipbuilding has been in the marine powerboat business in South Korea for 40 years and has a very strong reputation for excellent after sales service.

On signing the Sealegs South Korea distribution agreement, Kunjang Shipbuilding President, Ko Ho Nam said “Sealegs amphibious boats are an amazing solution to the hassles of launching power boats on the west coast of South Korea which has up to twelve metre tides. There is also a growing recreational Korean marine market who will find the convenience of Sealegs very attractive”.

Sealegs International CEO David McKee Wright said “we are very pleased to have such an experienced and established distributor in South Korea. Kunjang Shipbuilding already has a large existing customer base which is showing a strong interest in Sealegs, even before the first boat has arrived into the South Korea market”.
