Sealegs appoints Defence and Emergency Services Specialist in Australia

23 August 2011

Amphibious marine craft manufacturer, Sealegs, is pleased to announce the appointment of an Australian-based team as agents to the Australian Defence and Emergency Services sectors.

Worldwide sales of the Sealegs range of amphibious craft have been boosted by sales to the commercial sector. Globally, Sealegs already has boats deployed to the Malaysian Coastal rescue, Thai Navy, Italian Fire Brigade and the Indian Water Police.

Approximately 100 of the 500 boats in use worldwide are utilised by rescue services. In Australia, the SES, Mining and Pearl industries are amongst the first to adopt the amphibious technology.

A partnership of Will Burrell (former Director of Sealegs) and specialist sector veteran, David Henry, have joined forces to spearhead the campaign.

Commenting on the appointment, Will Burrell said “I am delighted to continue my association with Sealegs and am very encouraged with the initial responses we have received from the Australian Defence and Emergency Services."
